Privacy Policy for ProjectSplit

Last Updated: October 15, 2026 • Published by IFZA AI

ProjectSplit ("we", "our", or "the app"), developed by IFZA AI, provides project management and financial tracking tools for individuals and teams. This Privacy Policy explains how information may be collected, used, stored, shared, and protected when you use the application. The information actually processed depends on the features you use and the services enabled in the released version.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on the features you use, ProjectSplit may process account information such as your name, email address, profile image, and internal account identifier. Project information may include project names, descriptions, stages, budgets, expenses, income, partner contributions, profit-sharing details, settlements, and related notes or records. You may also provide transaction dates, payment references, client details, and receipt attachments. Please avoid entering unnecessary sensitive personal or financial information.

2. How We Use Information

Information is used to authenticate users, create and manage projects, calculate expense shares and project results, maintain partner balances, process settlements, manage invitations and permissions, synchronize project data, generate reports, provide support, maintain security, and deliver subscription features. Information may also be used to diagnose errors and improve application reliability.

3. Account Authentication

ProjectSplit may provide Google sign-in and/or email and password authentication, depending on the enabled version. Authentication providers may process information according to their own privacy policies. We do not request your Google account password. Authentication credentials and session tokens must be handled using appropriate security controls.

4. Cloud Storage and Synchronization

If cloud synchronization is enabled, account and project information may be transmitted to our backend servers and stored in a database so that authorized users can access their projects across supported devices. Data is processed to provide the requested service, maintain consistency, and protect project access. Local caching may also be used where supported. Actual storage locations, retention periods, and service providers should be described according to the deployed infrastructure.

5. Partner Invitations and QR Codes

ProjectSplit may provide Personal QR codes for identifying registered users and Project QR codes or invitation links for inviting users to a particular project. Invitation processing may involve an account identifier, project reference, invitation token, expiration status, and membership information. QR codes are intended for identification or invitation, not as a substitute for authentication. Users must authenticate and satisfy the applicable invitation and authorization checks before gaining access. Do not share invitation links publicly unless you intend to invite others.

6. Financial and Project Information

ProjectSplit processes project-related financial records to provide expense tracking, income tracking, contribution calculations, profit and loss summaries, profit distribution, and settlement management. These records may be visible to authorized project members according to their assigned roles and permissions. ProjectSplit is a record-management tool and does not itself guarantee the accuracy of user-entered information or execute bank transfers unless a separately disclosed feature explicitly provides such functionality.

7. Advertising

The free version may display advertisements through Google AdMob or other disclosed advertising providers. These providers may process device identifiers, advertising identifiers where permitted, IP address, app interaction information, diagnostics, and other data as described in their own policies and the applicable consent and platform settings. Eligible premium subscribers may receive an advertisement-free experience. Advertising configuration and data processing depend on the services enabled in the released app.

8. Subscriptions and Payments

ProjectSplit may offer optional premium subscriptions through Google Play Billing. Google Play processes purchases under its own terms and privacy policies. Subscription status and purchase-related identifiers or transaction information may be processed to verify entitlements, restore purchases, manage subscription access, and prevent fraud. ProjectSplit does not need to receive or store your full payment card details for purchases processed by Google Play.

9. Notifications

If supported and enabled, ProjectSplit may provide notifications relating to invitations, project updates, deadlines, budget warnings, settlements, or payments recorded in the app. You can manage notification permissions through your device settings. Notification delivery and available controls depend on the features enabled in the application.

10. Files and Receipts

If you upload receipts or other project attachments, those files may be stored locally or on secured backend storage, depending on the implementation. Authorized project members may be able to access files according to their permissions. Do not upload documents containing unnecessary sensitive information.

11. Third-Party Services

The application may rely on third-party services for authentication, advertising, subscription processing, hosting, diagnostics, notifications, and other functions. Those services may process information under their respective privacy policies and contractual terms. The specific providers used in the production release should be listed accurately in the final published policy.

12. Data Sharing

We do not make your private project records publicly available by default. Information may be shared with project members you authorize, service providers needed to operate the app, or other parties where required by law or necessary to protect rights and security. We do not sell personal information as a business practice. Any additional sharing must be disclosed where applicable.

13. Data Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, and alteration. These measures may include encrypted network connections, authentication, access controls, role-based permissions, and secure storage. No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

14. Data Retention and Deletion

Information is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain account and project history, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, and protect security. You may contact us to request account or data deletion. Some records may need to be retained where required by law or for legitimate security and recordkeeping purposes. The production app should provide a clear account deletion process and disclose any applicable retention periods.

15. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on applicable law, you may be able to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. You can manage device permissions, notifications, and certain advertising preferences through your device or Google settings. You may also contact us with privacy questions or requests.

16. Children's Privacy

ProjectSplit is a project and financial management application and is not specifically designed for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, contact us so that we can review the request.

17. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the application, service providers, or legal requirements change. The revised policy will be published on the relevant website or within the application, together with an updated revision date where appropriate. Continued use of the application after an update is subject to applicable law and any required notices or consent.
