Privacy Policy for Noteora

Last Updated: October 28, 2026 • Published by IFZA AI

Noteora ("we", "our", or "the app") is a personal notebook and journaling application developed by IFZA AI. We respect your privacy and aim to give you control over your notes and personal writing.

This Privacy Policy explains how information is stored and handled when you use Noteora, including its local storage, voice-to-text, reminders, and optional Google Drive backup features.

You can use the core notebook and diary features without creating an account or connecting Google Drive. If you choose to connect Google Drive, the relevant Google authentication and Drive services will be used to provide the backup and restore functionality.

1. Information We Handle

Noteora processes information that you enter or create within the app, including notebook names, note titles, note contents, diary entries, tags, favorites, reminders, and supported attachment information.

This information is used to provide the app's notebook, journaling, search, organization, and backup features.

The app may request access to device capabilities, such as the microphone for voice-to-text and notifications for reminders, when you use the corresponding features. The exact permissions depend on your device, Android version, and enabled functionality.

2. Local Storage and Offline Access

Noteora stores your notebooks, notes, and related app data in local storage on your device. Core writing and reading features are designed to work without an internet connection.

Your local notes are not automatically sent to an app-owned remote database. Noteora does not require a mandatory account or an app-owned backend to provide its core notebook functionality.

Uninstalling the app, clearing its data, or losing your device may result in the loss of locally stored information. We recommend creating a backup if you want to protect your notes against device loss or data removal.

3. Google Sign-In and Google Drive Backup

Connecting Google Drive is optional. If you choose to connect your Google account, Noteora uses Google's supported authentication and Drive services to access the permissions you authorize.

When you create a backup, the app may upload your notebooks, notes, tags, supported attachments, and other necessary backup information to a Noteora folder in your Google Drive. Automatic backup operates according to your settings and the availability of network access, authentication, and background execution.

Backup files may contain personal or sensitive information that you have written in the app. You should connect only a Google account you control and review your backup choices before uploading personal content.

Google Drive is provided by Google and is subject to Google's applicable terms, privacy policy, security practices, and service availability. Noteora does not operate the Google Drive service.

You can disconnect Google Drive from the app. Disconnecting stops future access through the app once authorization is no longer available, but it does not automatically delete backup files already stored in your Google Drive. You can manage or delete those files directly in Google Drive.

4. Backup and Restore Safety

Noteora is designed to validate backup files before restoring them and to provide a confirmation step before replacing local data. Where implemented, the app creates a local safety backup before a replacement restore.

A Google Drive backup is a saved copy of your data, not real-time synchronization across devices. Changes made after the most recent successful backup may not be included in that backup.

Automatic backup may be delayed or unsuccessful because of network problems, authorization changes, device restrictions, storage limits, or Google service interruptions. Check the app's backup status and last successful backup time to confirm whether a backup completed.

5. Voice-to-Text and Microphone Permission

If you choose to use voice-to-text, Noteora may request microphone permission and use a compatible speech-recognition service available on your device or through the configured platform integration.

Speech recognition availability, supported languages, and whether speech processing occurs on-device or through a service may vary by device and configuration. If an external speech-recognition service is used, audio or speech data may be processed according to that service's terms and privacy policy.

Noteora does not require voice input to use its core features. You can deny microphone permission and continue entering notes by typing.

6. Reminders and Notifications

If you create reminders, Noteora may use Android's notification facilities to notify you at the selected time. Notification permission may be required depending on your Android version and settings.

Reminder information is used to schedule and manage the reminders you create. Notifications may display information associated with a reminder depending on your settings and implementation. You can manage notification permissions through Android settings.

7. Advertising, Analytics, and Third-Party Services

The app's intended core architecture does not require advertising, analytics, or a remote database. Google authentication, Google Drive, and any speech-recognition provider used by enabled features are third-party services and may process information needed to provide those services.

If advertising, analytics, or additional third-party services are introduced in a future version, this policy should be updated to accurately describe the information collected, its purpose, and the available user choices before that version is released.

8. Data Sharing and Disclosure

Noteora does not sell your personal notes. Information is processed to provide the features you choose to use. When you explicitly enable Google Drive backup, the data included in the backup is transmitted to your authorized Google Drive account.

Information may also be processed by a third-party service when you use a feature that depends on that service, such as speech recognition. We may disclose information if required by applicable law or a valid legal process.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

Your locally stored notes remain on your device until you delete them, clear the app's data, uninstall the app, or the device removes the data.

You can delete notes within Noteora and manage backup files in Google Drive. Deleting a local note does not necessarily delete an existing backup containing that note. Likewise, deleting a Drive backup does not automatically delete the local copy on your device.

Backup retention and cleanup depend on the features and settings available in your installed version. Before permanently deleting data, ensure that you have saved any information you want to keep.

10. Data Security

We aim to protect app data through appropriate local storage practices, limited permissions, and safe handling of authentication and backup operations. Access to Google Drive is subject to the permissions you authorize and the security of your Google account and device.

No storage system, transmission method, or electronic service can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Use a secure device, protect your Google account, and avoid including information in backups that you do not want stored in your Drive account.

11. Children's Privacy

Noteora is a general-purpose productivity and journaling application and is not specifically designed to collect personal information from children. Parents and guardians should supervise children's use of the app where appropriate. The developer should review applicable child privacy and age-related requirements for the intended distribution regions.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when app functionality, third-party services, or applicable legal requirements change. The latest version and its revision date should be published on the developer's website. Material changes should be communicated through appropriate channels where required.
